Precious natural resources of Africa

Africa has a large quantity of natural resources including oil, diamonds, gold, iron, cobalt, uranium, copper, bauxite, silver, petroleum and cocoa beans, but also woods and tropical fruits.
However, natural resources have never made a country rich. What really makes a country powerful and respected, are its men and women, the human resources. Africans might not have possession in some part of Africa, yet they are happy, beautiful and humble. Being happy it’s a great feeling that I think is good for you, admirable and impressive.

Will finish the post today with a great quote from Socrates, who is aimed at greedy nations: “He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”

Be happy, do the best you can, be good and kind. x

When you've acquired a taste for dust,

The scent of our first rain,

You're hooked for life on Africa

And you'll not be right again

Till you watch the setting moon

    And hear the jackal's bark

And know that they're around you,

    Waiting in the dark.

When you long to see the elephants,

Or to hear the coucal's song,

When the moonrise sets your blood on fire,

    You've been away too long.

It's time to cut the traces loose

And let your heart go free

    Beyond the far horizon,

Where your spirit yearns to be.

Natural resources can be a blessing only if African policymakers don't consider resources wealth for wealth itself!
